As many of you know I work with the SPCA Animal Shelter in Titusville, Fl. I thinking working and playing with animals is good for ones general feeling about things — I am not sure why.

There are many theories out there but maybe we can just enjoy them in our own way. Anyway, if you like and enjoy animals — just keep on doing so and if you get a chance write me an animal story or send me pictures, — I would like to post it here on this “Blog”

Here is some things I observed in my daily happening with friends:

Some  go wild when they see an animal and do lots of “Baby talk” to the animal and feel a motherly instinct to protect the animal.

Some must run and grab a camera and take pictures — mainly pictures of birds.

Many folks can not visit our animal shelter without taking steps to take a dog home — saying “four dogs are as easy to keep as 3 dogs and they do not bother my 3 cats or my bird! and the kids love them  — just as long as they do not eat their gerbils.

Write and tell me if you fit any of these “happenings”  or leave a comment at the end of this blog page!

Here are two of my own thoughts:

When my kids were growing up, regular visit to the zoo were the norm — I even took the kids with me sometimes!

I hated milking cows but I sure loved being around the animals when I grew up — Guess that is why I had a play ranch in Texas for 15  years  — and I always had dogs to train, talk with, and walk with.  Sadly, I do not have any animals now but I sure am blessed to have friends who do and to live near the SPCA Animal Shelter.    Oh — that brings up a subject — below is an extract from a e-mail I got this week  — link to our video on the Toshiba face book site:

We have entered a video into the Toshiba Technological Makeover Contest. At this point you can view our video either on our Facebook page or on Toshiba’s.  The video will be on the Toshiba page for entertainment only at this time (just a few more days).  Soon Toshiba will pick the five top entrants for inclusion on the final page.  The public can then vote to chose the contest winner from among the top five contestants.  The top prize is worth up to $100,000 in a technology make-over project.  The remaining four grand prize winners will be awarded up to $30,000 each for their project.

You can vote for us.  We will notify you if we are one of the final five.  At that time (approximately January 20th) we will need EVERYONE to vote for us!

One quick way to view the video on our Facebook page:  access our web site (spcanorthbrevard.com) and click on the link in the lower left corner of the home page, look for the video posting and click on the image.

If you have already been following us on Facebook just access the page in your usual manner.  We thank you for your interest.  If you are not acquainted with our page, you will find a constantly updated source of information and delightful photos.  In either case, we hope you enjoy the information you find there.
