From the internet, photo 1 – approx. 1910. As a point of reference, I went to the web and found a photo of a couple walking in the city 100 years ago.

NYC 2015 – Take 1 – I found this couple dressed to walk the city. A lot like 1910 but notice the cell phone on the belt, the sandals, no hat on lady, and no necktie on the man.

NYC 2015 — Take 1 1/2 – street shopping with cell phone – man in blue sweater is getting show tickets – most likely for Madison Square Garden?

NYC 2015 – Take 3 – The varied fashion always requires a phone and a bag the size of a knapsack. Also in this photo – many Green shirts in honor of the Jet’s game they are on the way to see – Sorry the Jets lost.

NYC 2015 — Take 4 – Photo thru the train window – phone and varied dress code – black socks, no socks, red shoes, white shoes, blue shoes, sandals, shorts, pants, knapsack size bags …. are all in fashion.

NYC – 2015 TAKE 5 – Study this photo – not a single phone. – but the cup of coffee in the right hand of man walking is very common in NYC and computers are very common. See the laptop lady in upper left and lady with unseen laptop in lower right – I guess they did not see the “Do not sit on the stairs” sign. Oh, see red knapsack on stairs and the knapsacks on those outside walking. To get around NYC a person needs a knapsack, a computer or cell phone, and needs to learn to read New Yorkeese. See the arrow pointing to PATH? Do you think that is a hiking trail? Nope. It is a train that crosses the Hudson river – follow the arrow to get to the train station – PATH stands for “Port Authority Trans-Hudson”
